Characteristic Features

-Shell moderate, 8-9 flat sided whorls, sutures impressed.

-About 15 spiral *striae in upper whorls and 15 on body whorls.

-Numerous pronounced ribs on upper whorls.

-Lower part of whorls smoother.

-Outer lip straight, *siphonal canal short, *coumella smooth.

-Operculum: Brown, horny.

-Colour a dark grey or with the aperture dark.
